Dear Dealer,

 

The AT&T 3G turndown date of 2/22/2022 is finally upon us.  As a number of our partners have active 3G devices, I would like to communicate what you can expect from Freeus over the coming days and weeks.

 

We have heard from many groups including the AICC and FCC that the AT&T 3G Sunset will take place in phases.  Even though it begins tomorrow, it is possible that some of your equipment continues to function normally in the coming days and weeks.  By using the 3G AT&T network beyond 2/22/2022, you do so at your own risk. We recommend you suspend or replace 3G equipment with a Freeus 4G PERS device. 

For now, Freeus will NOT suspend devices on your behalf.  AT&T has also confirmed that it will not proactively suspend Freeus SIM service. If you would no longer like to be billed for your active 3G subscriptions, please suspend the subscriptions using our dealer portals, APIs, or by sending an email with a list of devices IDs to support@freeus.com. 

 

If we are able to confirm in the coming days and weeks that 3G connectivity in certain geographical areas has definitively been turned down, we will have no choice but to suspend service for devices in that area.
